So for the past year or so, I’ve seen these magnetic beads in other people’s work. I asked one gentleman where he gets these very peculiar beads.
“China,” he tells me.
“Is there a website where I can go to?” I ask him.
“Unfortunately, no. You have to go to China.” he replies.
I walked away feeling defeated; I already had ideas planned in my head for such beads.
So, eventually it got put in the back of my mind, until….. I found them at my bead store!!!
And what luck, they were on sale!
Not exactly the color I’d prefer, but it’s something.
So then, I began to create… and make some mistakes. Mistakes can be made, that’s how we learn!
I made it too short, but, it’s still wearable!
All magnets connected, and looking very much like a butterfly.
Typically, these pieces should be long enough to be worn both as a bracelet, and as a necklace. I made the above piece too short, so I decided to create another.
Ahhhh! Unfortunately, I made this one too long! So long that it won’t wrap completely around my wrist. This one will be redone & shortened. But as it is, it makes for a really nice choker necklace.
Until next time, lovelies.
A bientôt,
Courtney
